Willow Class have enjoyed having the opportunity to take their learning outside and go on a walk into Meon Woods to complete their Science learning about plants. They were tree detectives; identifying trees in the woods by looking at their leaves. They found a variety of evergreen and deciduous trees but were sad that they didn’t spot any Willow trees. Whilst on their walk, they were also identifying wildflowers. The children ticked these off on their identification sheets as they walked through the fields and into the woods. The cherry on top of the cake was seeing a Muntjac deer running into the woods on their way back down the path. It was a lovely sunny day and everyone had lots of fun consolidating all of their learning.
