The long-awaited day was finally here – the Year 4 trip to The Towers was upon us! Arriving bright and early, the children set off at 09:30 for what  was supposed to be a 5-hour journey to Betws-y- Coed… unfortunately that was not quite the case! Following a lunch stop, disaster struck when the coach broke down and we were finally forced to change transport, being taken the rest of the journey in three minibuses.

Despite the setback, they arrived at The Towers with sunny weather and all in good spirits. Following a look around the campus, the children tucked into a dinner of burgers and lemon drizzle cake before completing their evening activity – nightline!

Nightline involved working in pairs to complete an obstacle course with rivers, hills, nets, tunnels and many other hazards with the added difficulty that one of them was blindfolded! Needless to say, the children had a great time and developed their communication skills whilst learning the importance of trust.

After a long day, the children headed to bed, looking forward to the exciting activities that await them tomorrow.
