All good things must come to an end, and after a fantastic week away at The Towers Activity Learning Centre, it was time to say goodbye… but not before a couple of last-minute activities!

After a relaxing cinema experience last night, the children woke to a continental breakfast of cereal, juice and croissants before heading into the nearby town of Betws-y-Coed to explore and take in the views of the river and waterfall. Whilst there, the children were also able to undertake some ‘retail therapy’ at the local gift shops! It should be noted that the shopkeepers commented on how polite and well-mannered all the Meon Vale children were and even gave them gifts in recognition of their impeccable behaviour!

Back at the centre, after packing up their belongings, the children took some time to recall the amazing activities they have undertaken this week and the invaluable lessons they learned with the centre leaders. Both Mr Greygoose and Miss Halford, as well as everyone at The Towers centre, have been proud of every single person and the growth mindset they have shown all week; from persevering in an activity that they thought was scary, helping others in their group or simply trying something new.

Shortly after midday, the children were packed and on the coach, ready to return to Meon Vale. Yes, many are sad to be leaving but the memories of this week will last a lifetime.
