As part of our Shakespeare Week celebrations, Year 3 had the opportunity to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, and learning all about the life of the famous playwright. Their journey began at the historic Guild Chapel, where the children took part in an exciting Music workshop and discovered fascinating facts about Shakespeare’s family and early life. The children unleashed their creativity in a costume accessories workshop where they designed and made their own Elizabethan-inspired pieces. It was wonderful to see their imaginations come to life through arts and crafts!

They then visited Holy Trinity Church, where they stood in awe at Shakespeare’s grave, reflecting on his incredible legacy. After a well-deserved picnic-style lunch stop in the sunshine, Pine Class made their way to Shakespeare’s Birthplace, walking through the very home where he was born and grew up.

It was a fantastic trip that brought history to life and deepened our appreciation for Shakespeare’s work.
